Lengthy responsum, typewritten and hand-signed by the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Yosef Greenwald the author of Vayechi Yosef of Pápa, one of the greates rabbis of the USA.
The responsum deals with the entrance of Cohanim to hospitals and medical clinics when their wife is giving birth. Was sent to the rabbinic Gaon Rabbi David Rosenberg, an important Rav of the Satmar community and was published in his Sefer Siman 89.
Many handwritten corrections appear on the lengthy responsum which was hand-signed by the Rav.
The famed Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Yosef Greenwald author of ‘Vayechi Yosef’ of Pápa [1903-1984], the Rav and leader of Pápa, Hungary. The son of the holy Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Yechizkiya the son of Rabbeinu the author of ‘Arugas Habosem’. After his marriage, he was appointed Dayan in Satmar beneath his uncle and teacher the holy Gaon Rabbi Eliezer David of Satmar. He headed the ‘Keren LeDavid’ yeshiva in Satmar. After the Holocaust, he established the Pápa community. Was renowned for his piety and genius and many were saved by his blessings.
