Letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Harlap to the Gaon Rav Rabbi Zalman Hacohen Kook, Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook’s father, concerning the position of the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Nachum Porush. Jerusalem, not dated.
In the letter, the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Harlap expresses his concern for the position of Rabbi Eliyahu Porush, who was close to Rabbi Kook, who was appointed the scribe and accountant of the Moshav Zekenim HaMe’uchad institution, whom the Gaon Rabbi Zalman Kook was one of its managers. The appointment however was being delayed. Rabbi Harlap praises rabbi Eliyahu Porush, noting his piety, honesty and talent.
The letter includes Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Hacohen Kook response that only the financial problems of the institution are preventing the appointment.
