Rare! Complete Psak Halacha handwritten entirely by the great Gaon Rabbi Shimshon Aharon Polansky Av Beis Din of Teplik and the Rav of the Beis Yisroel neighborhood of Jerusalem. Jerusalem, [1940].

Extremely rare! An entire Psak Halacha handwritten by the Rav of Teplik.

The Psak Halacha concerns a dispute regarding salaries at Kollel Vohlin, whom the Rav of Teplik was one of its leaders. Enclosed with the Psak is a note in different script by one of the Dayanim summarizing the claims. The note is on the official stationery of the Ashkenazic Beis Din. The Psak Din and enclosed note refer to Rabbi Yisroel Rubin, the Rabad, Chetzer Pechtenholtz and rabbi Elchanan Jacobovich.

The Gaon Rabbi Shimshon Aharon Polansky "The Tepliker Rov" (1876-1948), the father of the Psak and Hora’ah tradition, one of the greatest Poskim of all generations who taught many great rabbis and Poskim. At a young age served as Rav in several cities until he was accepted as the Rav of Teplik, where he served for about twenty years as Rav and Av Beis Din. Later, he immigrated to Eretz Yisroel, living in a basement apartment in the Beis Yidroel neighborhood. Was renowned as greatly knowledgeable and as a sharp Gaon. The greatest Poskim were his disciples or assistants, including Maranan Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, Rabbi Yisroel Yaakov Fischer, Rabbi David Jungreis, Rabbi Shmuel Halevi Wosner, the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, the Rishon LeZion the Gaon Rabbi Ovadya Yosef and more.
