The last letter of Maran the great Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer author of Even HaEzel, Rosh Yeshivas Etz Chaim and the president of Mo’etzes Gedolei HaTorah, on charity matters, with his stamp and handwritten signature, two days before he passed away.
A letter written by a scribe to aid the important Chassid and Oved Hashem the Gaon Rav Rabbi Nachman Dubinki of Jerusalem on his son’s wedding.
The letter was written on the 10th of Kislev 1953, two days before the great Gaon passed away and was hand-signed by him and is with his personal stamp. This is the last letter dealing with charity matters. To the best of our knowledge, the next day, the day before he passed away, the Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer signed a broadside supporting the fourth conference of Agudas Ysiroel.
The great Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer [1870-1953] the Rav of Slutzk and eventually the Rosh Yeshiva of Etz Chaim, president of Mo’etzes Gedolei HaTorah and one of Gedolei Hador. His Sefer Even HaEzel is a basic Sefer of the Yeshiva world.
