An important document by the committee for writing a Sefer Torah in memory of Rabbeinu the Tzaddik Gaon Maran Rabbi Yisroel Meir Hacohen author of the Chofetz Chaim, by the Va’ad HaYeshivos of Vilna, with a commitment to purchase a letter by important dignitaries.
Within the writing of the Sefer Torah and the purchase of its letter, letters were also sold in Antwerp. This letter refers to important dignitaries who purchased letters in Antwerp, including Rabbi Eliyahu Moshe Genichovsky, a Knesset member of HaPoel HaMizrachi party, the father of the famed Gaon Rabbi Avraham Genichovsky, one of the heads of the Tshebin Yeshiva, Rabbi Shlomo ben Simcha Frey and Rabbi Yehuda Leib Hacohen Guttvirt.
