A postcard letter handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Greinman, from the time he was travelling through Europe for Va’ad HaYeshivos, describing the difficulties and success in raising funds in Antwerp and Brussels in Belgium. 1934.
The last part of the letter indicates his longing and conern for his family, requesting that his wife, who is staying in Kosovo, be sent some money for her livelihood which he will repay later.
The Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Greinman describes his tremendous efforts for Va’ad HaYeshivos in Europe, the fundraisers and the difficulties.
The letter refers to the revered Rav of Antwerp Rabbi Mordechai Rottenberg, Rabbi Amiel and the leaders of the community Rabbi Kopel Shapiro, Rabbi David Elkan, Rabbi Shmuel Moed and more.
The Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Greinman also expands on the writing of a Sefer Torah for the yeshivas, whose letters are sold to the highest bidders, the funds raised being donated to Va’ad HaYeshivas.
