Lengthy Letter handwritten entirely by Maran the Great Gaon Rabbi Aharon Kotler, the Rosh Yeshiva of Etz Chaim Slutzk in Kleck, dealing with the problems of his yeshiva. 1926.  


Lengthy and early letter handwritten and signed by the great Gaon Rabbi Aharon Kotler, eventually the Rosh Yeshiva of Lakewood and its founder, sent to the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shuv, the right-hand-man of the Gaon Rabbo Chaim Ozer of Vilna and one of the heads of Va’ad Hayeshivos. In the letter, he describes the terrible situation of the yeshiva, the fundraisers for it, the charity boxes and their distribution. He also takes interest in the plans the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer of Vilna has for the yeshivas of Lithuania and Latvia.


In its second part, the Gaon Rabbi Aharon Kotler asks to be sent a hundred and thirty copies of tractate Kiddushin by means of Mr. Sholom Leibowitz. 

The great Gaon Rabbi Aharon Kotler (1892-1962) one of the greatest Gedolei Yisroel in the recent generation, one of the re-establishers of the yeshiva world in America and one of the founders of the pure education in Eretz Yisroel and one of the leaders of the worldwide Agudas Yisroel. From a young age was renowned as an Iluy and diligent student. In his youth, he studied Torah with the Gaon Rabbi Zalman Sender Kahana Shapiro and his rabbis in Slabodka. Married the daughter of the Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer. Was Rosh Yeshiva of Slutzk and Kleck.
