The Koidinover Siddur! Siddur Or Hayashar, the version and customs of Koidinov – First, pedigreed and extremely rare edition, Vilna, 1877.

From such a pedigreed Siddur, the greatest Tzaddikim of Koidinov and their branches of Karlin and Lechovtich used to pray as well as the holy Rav the Beis Avraham of Slonim and Maran Kedosh Aharon of Belz. After its version, the Siddurim of the greatest Chassidim were edited.

Tzaddikim stated that ‘The first to buy it, will be the first to receive a blessing‘. When this edition of the Siddur was published, it was written that ‘the last copies of this Siddur have have been sold for a fortune‘ [according to the introduction to the 1903 second edition which emphasized the scarceness of the copies of this edition – already 150 years ago!]

The Siddur is ‘Sede Tefilos for all year round’, according to the version and tradition of the holy Rav Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Perlov of Koidinov, the head pf the holy dynasty and a sublime Kabbalist, the grandson and disciple of the Sabba Kaddisha of Lechovitch.

It was written and edited by his holy descendants: his son Rabbo Aharon of Koidinov and Rabbi Yitzchak of Vilika, and with the addition of dozens of tradition-based customs.

The Siddur includes the Or Hayashar elucidation by the great Kabbalist Rabbi Meir hacohen Poppres and the Or Taddikim additions by Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Chazan of Posna.

This Siddur was first published in Vilna in 1877 and already then, everyone wanted to pray from its copies, the last of which were sold for a fortune, as written.

All the more so, nowadays, when there alsmost no copies. A link to a photocopy of this edition appears in the Natoional Library, referring to the Schneersohn Collection in Moscow. The Bibliography of the Hebrew Book lists this edition according to a copy of the national library of Finland.

This original and rare copy lacks the first six leaves of the title pages and approbations and the last leaf. Two title pages are completed by a photocopy.

Maran the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Shlomo Chaim of Koidinov [1797-1862] the founder of the holy dynasty was the grandson of the holy Tzaddikim Rabbi Mordechai Lechovitcher and Rabbi Asher of Stolin. Most of the Chassidim of his uncle Rabbi Noah of Lechovitch followed him and he himself travelled to many of the Tzaddikim of his generation.
