Lengthy, edited responsum handwritten by the great Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shaul Nathansohn of Lemberg, the author of Sho’el UMeshiv. Not dated or signed.
The responsum was written to ‘one of the students’ and was printed in Shut Sho’el UMeshiv – 141, Siman 17. Without a date and the signature of the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shaul Nathansohn. Apparently this is a draft of the responsum, which was printed with minor variations.
The greatest Meshiv of his time the great Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shaul Nathansohn [1808-1975] the Rav of the large community of Lemberg. Authored the Shoel UMeshiv Shut and many other Seforim on all subjects of the Torah, revealing in them but a little of his great genius and his extensive knowledge of the Torah. Letters were sent to him from all over the world, including the most difficult questions, by Gedolei HaDor.
Aging stains and traces of wax, ink stains, wear to the edges. Good condition.
