The Gaon Rabbi Menashe Hacohen Arazi (1827-1902) the son of Hamalach Raphael Hacohen Arazi. A sharp sage and diligent Torach scholar who was a Shadar of Tiberius in Morocco and Tunis during the years 1853-1863. In 1874, was sent again as a Shadar to Algiers. The sages of Tetuán said of him that he was "well-liked, silver-tongued … and all the sages and rabbis of our holy community praise and glorify his name". When he was in Tunis, he wrote an approbation for Sefer Lechem Lefi Hataf. Authored Sefer Alfei Menashe on the Torah. Was the in-law of the sage the Shadar Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Abulafia.
The leaf is mounted on another leaf, the edges of the lines on the left were cut, fold mark and a tear along the fold line, ink stain, fair-good condition.
