A letter sent by the Gaon Rabbi Shem Tov Gaguine of London, handwritten and signed by him, to Rabbi Yaffe, in which he recalls the Kahrus problems of a London hotel and the controversy it ingnited. Manchester, Hanukkah 1924.
The letter was sent to ‘my friend the holy Gaon Rabbi Yaffe’ and reveals the Kashrus problems of the Midland Hotel in Manchester. The letter refers to ‘Harav Hazaken’.
The Gaon Rabbi Shem Tov Gaguine [1888-1953] the Rav of the Sephardic community of London and Manchester and previously a Rav in Cairo. Authored compositions on some of the subjects of the Torah.
