A fascinating letter handwritten by the famed Gaon of Komemiyus Rabbi Binyomin Mendelson to the Rabbi of Kock Lomzhe Rabbi Yechiel Morgenstern, dealing with the last will and testament of the Rabbi of Kock Lomzhe.
The wonderous Rav of Kock Lomzhe wrote a unique, mysterious will, bequething his beis Midrash and possessions and his many writings to certain people. He did his best to make sure that his will will not be altered and be executed just as he wished.
In recent years, the will was involved in some financial disputes.
The Rav of Komemiyus pleaded with the Rav of Kock, since he heard that the Rav was interested in appointing the State authorities as the executors of his will so it will not be altered.
The Rav of Komemiyus writes at length about Chilul Hashem that might be caused when it becomes clear that only the State authorities are capable of executing the will word-for-word and pleads with him to appoint reliable, famed Chareidi people as the executors of the will instead.
