Illustrated Ketubah on vellum, Rome [Italy], [1887].
Ketubah for the marriage of the bridegroom Shabtai Chaim David ben Yitzchak Yosef Efrati, and the bride Inrikita bas Baruch Masinay, signed by the witnesses Yitzchak ben Yehuda Miracina and Yisreol ben Yaakov Alisio. Rome, [21.08.1887].
Color border, with the version of Birkas Chatanim: "יבורכו חתן וכלה כברך ה’ אדם וחוה… אברהם ושרה… יצחק ורבקה… יעקב ורחל ולאה… מרדכי הצדיק ואסתר המלכה". [1] vellum, 37X55 cm. Sqaure Italian script.
After the amount of the dowry, "הנעשה באופיציו של ", without the notary’s name.
– The Bridegroom’s father, Yitzchak Yosef ben Shabtai Chaim Efrati, got married in Rome in 1859 and his Ketubah is part of the collection of rare manuscripts of the National Library.
– Two additional Ketubos signed by Yisroel ben Yaakov Alisio, from 1875 and 1881, appear in the collection of the National Library.
Minor fold marks. Some stains. Good condition.
