Letter on charity matters for the poor of Safed handwritten by the Tzaddik Gaon  Rabbi Avraham Dov Zilberman of Safed and signed by the Tzaddik Rabbi Moshe Unger of Dombrova the son-in-law of Maran the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. Safed, 1884.

The letter confirms the reception of donations from Melbourne, Australia, by means of the Rav of Jerusalem Rabbi Shmuel Salant and from him to the rabbis of Safed and its Tzaddikim. The Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Avraham Dov Zilberman and the Tzaddik Rabbi Moshe Unger hand-signed the document.

This historical letter is a single remnant of dozens of wonderous stories about the blessed actions of the holy Rav of Dombrova-Sanz who supported many orphans and widows.

This document is confirmation of receiving the money from Rabbi Shmuel Salant by the philanthropist Rabbi Klonimus of Melbourne, who gave it to a woman whose husband travelled to Australia to raise funds; the woman hand-signed the letter.

The holy Rav Rabbi Moshe Unger [1820-1989] the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai David of Dombrova and the son-in-law of the holy Rav Maran the Divrei Chaim of Sanz who revered him, marrying him off to his daughter Mrs. Miriam.

[1] non-lined leaf. Handwritten by Rabbi Zilberman and hand-signed by the holy Rav Rabbi Moshe Unger of Dombrova. Minor aging stains. Very good condition.
