Evel Gadol – Beis Avel, eulogy for the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Ruzhin, authored by the holy Gaon Rabbi Avraham Te’omim of Brod, Lemberg, [1851]. Pedigreed copy of the author’s grandson.
Evel gadol, eulogy for Aterest Tiferes Yisroel the holy Rav of Ruzhin, said by the holy Gaon Rabbi Avraham Te’omim, one of the greatest Poskim of Galicia, and added to it is Beis Avel, a responsum on Hilchos Aveilus by the above famed Gaon. Single edition, Lemberg, 1851.
A copy with the handwritten signature of the author grandson, Rabbi Yosef Te’omim Av Beis Din of Kolvasov New York.
The Sefer contains the eulogy of the holy Gaon Rabbi Avraham Te’omom, Av Beis Din of Zboriz, who was known as the Zborize Rov even when he moved to Butchach. Was a leading disciple of the great Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Kluger.
The eulogy was published by his disciple Rabbi Yehuda Leib of Vizna who added a lengthy responsum of Hilchos Aveilus to it.
An ownership notation by his important grandson Rabbi Yosef Te’omim, the son of his son Nachum Zvi Av Beis Din of Zlishtshik [known as Rabbi Zeida, an important Chassid and disciple of the Mahari and Maharid of Belz]. Eventually, he travelled to London and from there to the USA, where he served as the a Rav of the Beis Midrash of Kolvasov.
