Rare! Kol Nehi Eulogy for the Holy Rav Tiferes Yisroel of Ruzhin, by the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Yosef landau Av Beis Din of Iasi. First edition, Chernovich, 1851.
The composition was printed in 1851, the year the holy Rav of Ruzhin passed away.
The eulogizer, the important Gaon Rabbo Yosef Landau [1791-1854] a leading Chassidic Rav in Romania served as Av Beis Din of Iasi. Author of Sefer Birkas Yosef. Was the disciple of the holy Rav Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, the holy Rav Rabbi Baruch of Mezhibezh, the holy Rav of Opatow and the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Ruzhin. Stefansky Chassidus 519.
The composition was published by the author’s son, Rabbi Matisyahu Landau, in the years the holy Rav of Ruzhin passed away – 1851.
