[4] volumes: Sefer Likutei Torah, Likutei Amarim [Vayikra-Devarim and Shir HaShirim] by the Admor HaZaken, Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, Ba’al HaTanya. Printed by Chanina LIpa, Aryeh Leib and Yehoshua Heshil Shapiro, the grandsons of the Rav of Slavuta, Zhitomir, 1848. First edition. Rare. 

I. Vayikra: [1], 8, 50 leaves. The first 8 leaves are of Sefer Shemos. Includes Amaraim for Passover. Minor tears to the title page. 

II, Bamidbar: [1], 96 leaves. Includes Amaraim for Shavu’os. 

III, Devarim: [1], 100 leaves. Includes Amarim for Rosh HaShanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkos and Shemini Atzeres. 

IV, Shir HaShirim: 3, 3-51 leaves. Restored moth holes. Taping to the edges of the last leaf. A tear to the corner of leaf 33, affecting several words. 

On the title pages of vayikra and Devarim, the title and place of printing are in red ink. 

The book was prepared for printing by the sons of the Admor the Tzemach Tzeddek, the grandson of the Admor HaZaken. According to Igeres HaRayatz (which was appended to Sefer Torah Or, Brooklyn, 1955), the Admor the Tzemach Tzeddek added comments and elucidations to Sefer Likutei Torah.

Renewed, simple bindings, unidentical. Binding I-III with gilt lettering. Stains. Additional blemishes to volume I and V are listed above. Varied conditions. Fair-good.
