Sefer Marpeh LaNefesh, by Rabbi Raphael ben Rabbi Gabriel of Gorci. The Press of the Shapiro Brothers, Zhitomir, 1858. With stamps of Rabbi Yosef Famer of Slutzk.
[1], 19-42 leaves. Leaves 16-18 are missing. This Sefer was originally published with Sefer Se’ah Soles [not included here] by the same author. With stamps of Rabbi Yosef Famer.
Rabbi Yosef Famer (1875-1938) the son and disciple of Rabbi Meir Famer, and the successor of Rabbeinu the Beis Levi as the Rav of Slutzk. Was knowledgeable of Midrashim, Shas and Poskim. Since 1900, served as the regional Rav of the home-owners community in Slutzk. In 1925 immigrated to the USA and became Rav of the Beis El synagogue of Borough Park.
No binding, detached title page. [3] leaves are missing. Moth holes, stains, fair condition.
