Two sections of Aslei Ravravei Yoreh Deah, Hilchos Basar BeChalav and Ta’arovos, Ma’achalei Akum and Hechsher Kelim. Printed by the holy Rav Rabbi Aryeh Leib Shapiro the grandson of the Rav of Slavuta. Zhitomir, 1865.
With a special approbation by the holy Rav Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl.
This Sefer has a title page for each of its sections. These are two sections of two Halachos, Basar BeChalav and Ta’arovos, each section with a separate title page, and with them, Hilchos Hechsher Kelim and Hilchos Ma’achalei Akum, without separate title pages [originally].
The first section – Hilchos Basar BeChalav – Shulchan Aruch with the Taz and the Shach, Pri Megadim, Be’er HaGolah, Chavas Da’as and more.
Several handwritten comments.
The second section – Hilchos Ta’arovos. Separate title page, with the above elucidations.
Hilchos Ma’achaeli Akum appear without a separate title page and after them, Hilchos Hechsher kelim. At the end of the volume, after Hilchos Hechsher Kelim, the first leaf of Hilchos Noten Ta’am Lifgam, incomplete.
Ownership notations from Jerusalem, Rabbi Yeshaya Hornstein, the founder of the Ohel Moshe Yeshiva of Jerusalem. Additional ownership notations in pencil, including: Y.D. Tzwebner, Rabbi Asher Anshil Vakov [?]. This volume includes the rare approbation by the holy Rav Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl – an approbation that was printed twice in the original volume, first at the beginning of Yoreh Deah and then in Hilchos Ta’arovos appearing here.
[1], 184-224, [2], 3-28, 47-65 leaves. Water stains. Aging stains. Wear. Moth perforations. Tears to the first and last leaf considerably affecting the text. Non-original, old binding. Fair-good condition.
