Shut Rabbeinu Meshulam Igra. First ediiton. Krakow, 1885. Pedigreed copy given by the holy Gaon Rabbi Sholom Hacohen Schwartz the son of the Kol Aryeh of Bergsas to his nephew the holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich of Shamloy with glosses handwritten by him. 


On the title page, the holy Gaon of Shamloy hand-wrote ‘I have received this book as a gift from my uncle [his mother’s brother] the Rabbinic Naggid Sholom Hacohen Schwartz of Bergsas. The young Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich’. 

Inside the book, in the section of Even HaEzer and the section of Orach Chaim, several glosses handwritten by the Rav of Shamloy. 

The copy includes a special title page for the section of Yoreh Deah and the famed eulogy by the Chasam Sofer for the holy Gaon Rabbi Meshulam Igra. 

The holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich [1863-1944] Av Beis Din of Shamloy. One of the greatest Poskim of his generation. Author of the Lechem Shlomo Shlomo and approx. forty additional composition. The grandson of the holy Gaon author of Kol Aryeh who raised him and taught him Torah. A leading disciple of the holy Rav author of Kedushas Yom Tov of Siget and a Chassid of his son the holy Rav Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar. Perished with his community during the Holocaust.

[3], 1-43, 66, 32, [4], 19, [2] leaves. No binding. Detached flyleaf. Slightly brittle leaves. The spine is slightly dismantled. Good condition.
