The Me’or Enayim that was studied by the famed holy Gaon Rabbi Moshe Greenwald, the author of Arugas Habosem of Chust. 

Sefer Me’or Enayim, Warsaw 1881 edition. A copy that had belonged to Rabbi Moshe Greenwald, the author of Arugas Habosem of Chust. His signature appears on the title page: ‘Moshe Greenwald of the holy Kleinwardein community’, indicating the book had belonged to him since his youth. The book was inherited by his son Rabbi Yisroel Meir of Kleinwardein. In addition, a pencil signature of the Gaon Rav Rabbi Moshe Yuda Friedman, the stamp of Rabbi Chaim Mordechai Ichl Borek Fernwald and varied ownership notations. 

The holy Gaon Rabbi Moshe Greenwald author of ‘Arugos HaBosem’ [1853-1910] one of the greatest Rabbis and Poskim of Hungary, the leading disciple of Maran the Kesav Sofer in Pressburg, the disciple of the greatest disciples of the Chassam Sofer the holy Gaon Rabbi Menachem Katz and his grandfather Rabbi Yosef Greenwald. Since his youth, he became tied to Chassidus and would travel to the holy Tzaddikim of Belz and Shinava. Was the Rav of the renowned communities of Homno and Kleinwardein until he became the Rav and leader of Chust. In his days, the Chust yeshiva became the largest and most important yeshiva in Hungary, with many students from all over the world including the USA joining it to study Torah and Yirah from its great Rav. 

96, 19 leaves. Dismantled spine. Slightly dismantled binding. The first leaf is detached and restored. Restoration with old tape to additional leaves. Damage to the text on the margins of the first two leaves. Stains. fair-good condition.
