Thirteen short responses to questions by Rabbi Eliyahu of Greiditz, handwritten by Rabbi Avraham ben Rabbi Zvi Halevi, one of the Dayanim of Wreschen [1841]. 

"Last Motza’ei Shabbas I studied the questions on Issur and Heiter – and I am sending his honor the responses to these questions according to the Shulchan Aruch …"; letter by Rabbi Avraham ben Rabbi Zvi Halevi of Wreschen, to his friend and relative, the Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu of Greiditz, with responses to his questions on Issur and Heiter. 

[3] pp. More than [7] lines. Most of the letter is dedicated to [13] short halachic responses. On verso of the letter, the addressee’s details. Traces of a wax seal and a postmark. 

Rabbi Avraham ben Rabbi Zvi Halevi of Wreschen – signed the approbation of "the great rabbis the sages Dayanei Tzeddek of Wreschen" in Sefer Beis Aharon, I, called Toras Habayis (Berlin, 1830). 

The holy Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Guttmacher of Greiditz (1796-1875) the disciple of Rabbi Akiva Eiger, a Gaon in Nigleh and Nistar. Since 1822 served as Av Beis Din of Pleschen, where he established a large yeshiva. Since 1839 served as Av Beis Din of Greiditz to where many came for blessing and advice.

Fold marks. Minor aging stains. Wear to the edges of the leaf, slightly affecting some words of the text. Good condition.
