Copy of Rabbi Ephraim Zalman of Brod! Shulchan Aruch Choshen Mishpas, and around it Sefer Me’iras Enayim, the Shach, Taz and Be’er Hagolah. Hamburg, [1742].

Shulchan Aruch Choshen Mishpas in which  the Turei Zahav commentary proofread by "Chacham Zvi" was printed for the first time. Published by Aharon ben Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Desau, Humburg, [1742]. With the signature of Rabbi Ephraim Zalman of Brod.

[1], 3. [1], 102, 107-338, 3-5, [3] leaves. Incomplete copy: without the title page and additional [7] leaves. In Siman 56, [4] leaves of another edition were added. Ownership notations and owner’s signatures, including Rabbi "Ephraim Zalman the son of the Naggid Rabbi Menachem Mendel … Brod". With stamps of the Beis Midrash of the Admor of Karov in Safed. Some glosses on the margins of leaves 57-58.

In his foreword, the editor thanks the gentiles who had helped him publish the book: Duke Ludwig Erb, Prince Walend, Graph Mhesin of Humburg, his personal physician Philips Kempf and two merchants from Frankfurt Gels and Klarus.

Appearing on the last leaf are the words of Chachcam Zvi on his work proofreading the Daz with an addition of his innovations on Dinei Birchos Hanehenin.

Worn, partly dismantled semi-leather binding, stains, incomplete copy, one leaf is detached, moth holes, blemishes and taping, fair condition.
