Remainders of a Mitzva avert calamity – wonderful, special Segulah, remnants of a wax candle made by the holy Rav Rabbi Aharon of Belz himself for the holy day of Yom Kippur.
נר ה’ נשמת אדם, a candle made by the holy Rav of Belz on the eve of Yom Kippur. Later, he put it in the Torah Ark on Hoshana Rabba.
The Segulah of these remainders of Mitzvah is most famed. Its initial source is tractate Sukkos, leaf 38: ‘שיירי מצוה מעכבין את הפורענות’.
The remnants of wax are in an elegant, impressive case, approx. 35X20 cm. made of wood with gilt mirrors, wood and printed plastic. On its height, a portrait of the holy Rav of Belz blessing the wine of a Se’udah shel Mitzvah.
The piece of wax is placed in a removable glass frame.
