[200]; [189] leaves. Quality paper. With tractate Avos, Halachos and Seder Hahaftaros for all year round. Many handwritten additions of missing text due to taping and blemishes, textual changes and corrections, additions and comments. Lengthy notation including dates of death. On the colophon of section II it is written that the printing was complete on the eve of Sukkos 1540 in Bologna.
This book is one of the last of the few Hebrew books that were printed in Bologna and one of the most important Machzorim that were printed in Italy, which includes prayers and Piyyutim, for the days of the weel, for the High Holidays and the Jewish festivals, Kinos and Selichos, Passover Haggadah and more. Contains Tractate Avos with the Rambam’s commentary and the first edition of Rabbi Ovadya Sforno’s commentary that was published in his lifetime.
Semi-leather bindings with blemishes. Stains, tears, taping, blemishes and restoration with paper, affecting the text. Missing text was completed by hand. The title page of section I is partly detached. Moth holes. fair-good condition.
