Biras Migdal Oz, Morals, laws, and wonderful traditions – third section of the Siddur of the Holy Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Emdin – Amudei Shamayim.
Printed in Barditchev 1836.
Siddur of the great Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Emdin, the Yavetz, was accepted with much reverence among the Chassidic righteous and was also printed in Koretz with approbations by the holy Rav the Ohev Yisrael of Opatow and the holy Maggid of Chernobyl. The third section of the siddur was printed in Barditchev.
At the beginning of the siddur is an approbation by the Holy Rav Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin (dated 4th of Tevet 1835), which is the first of the five of his approbations ever printed. Written in his approbation: על אדני פז יסודתו ומחצבתו להורות דרך הישר בשכל צח בענין התפילה. The important approbation by the holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl is also printed. Many Chassidic Rebbes did not remove this Siddur from their table and it was used for their warm and uplifting prayers.
Very important ownership notations: הרה"צ רבי אלתר המבורגר, and important and much earlier signatures. In addition, some corrections of printing errors.
Two title pages, with red lettering. 362, [3], leaves. 18 cm. Includes [3] leaves of the table with the correction of errors that do not appear in the listing of the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book. New elegant leather binding.
