Pedigreed copy of the Tzaddikim of Ruzhin. Teshu’os Chen, the holy Rav Rabbi Gedalyahu of Linitz. With an approbation of the Kedushas Levi of Berditchev, Lashchov, after 1816.

With the stamp of the holy Rav Rabbi Shlomo of Sadigura [the first] and a notation handwritten by his brother-in-law the holy Rav Rabbi Menachem Nachum Dov Berenyu of Sadigura and the stamp of the holy Rav Rabbi Shlomo of Chortkov.

Rabbi Berenyu dedicates the book to ‘my dear brother-in-law Shlomo Friedman’. Wide sheets.

On the title page: the mistaken year of 1861. The place of printing does not appear. This edition was printed in the almost exact format of the first edition which was printed in Berditchev in 1816, apparently shortly afterwards.

On verso of the title page, the approbation of the holy Rav Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of berditchev and his holy son Rabbi Yisroel of Pikov. In his foreword, the publisher praises the book in his name. The book contains the omissions.

This edition, which is most similar to the Berditchev 1816 edition, is apparently the second one that was printed shortly after the first. The Bibliography of the Hebrew Book listing 0166092. Stefansky Chassidus 642.

[4], 24, 27-38 leaves. 23.5 cm. Quality blue-greenish paper. Some moth perforations, Stains. Ruzhin binding with a catalog sticker of the library of the holy Rav Rabbi Nachum Berenyu Friedman and his brother-in-law Rabbi Shlomo Friedman of Sadigura. Good-very good condition.
