Important Archive! Letters by the Tzaddikim of Ruzhin for the Genizah Committee and the Likutei Shemos organization, which was established in Vienna in 1936.
The letters include lengthy letters by the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Husiatyn and his son-in-law the Ohalei Yeekov of Husiatyn, the Abir Yaakov of Sadigura, Rabbi Nachum Mordechai of Chortkow and Rabbi Yehoshua Heshil of Kopitshnitz.
A lengthy Psak Halacha by the holy Gaon Rabbi Chaim Yerucham of Altstadt and a Psak Halacha by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Babad Rish Av Beis Din of Vienna.
A total of 6 documents, as follows:
*Early letter with the handwritten signature of Rabbi Yisroel of Husiatyn, the last grandson of Tiferes Yisroel of Ruzhin, handwritten by his son-in-law the holy Rav the Ohalei Yaakov of Husiatyn.
In the letter, the holy Rav of Husiatyn refers to the establishment of the Likutei Shemos organization for archiving pages and leaves that had fallen to the ground and saving them from disgrace.
The Ohalei Yaakov writes: כדי להרים מכשול מדרך הרבים הנוהגים בהם מנהג ביזיון מבלתי ידעם את חומר האסור וגודל העון ומן הראוי ליראי ה’ ולחושבי שמו להחזיק את ידי החברה הנ"ל ולעזור להם בעבודתם עבודת הקודש, וכל העוסקים במצוה הזאת וכל הנטפלים [?] בה, יתברכו בברכה המשולשת וירום כבודם וינשא ככתוב ועתה נאום ד’ וכו’ מכבדי אכבד. דברי המצפה לישועת ישראל ולגאולתו האמתית במהרה. And the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Husiatyn added his signature: Yisroel ben Mordechai Feibush.
The holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Husiatyn [1858-1948] the eldest of the Tzaddikim of his generation, admired by thousands, who to this day utter his name with awe. A spiritual pillar for the Jewish Nation, who was called by the Holy Rabbi Aharon of Belz ‘Tzaddik Yessod Olam’ and ‘HaRabbi’. The intensity of his prayers and Avodas Hashem was legendary when the Nazis under General Rommel’s command approached Eretz Yisroel during the El Alamein battles.
The holy Rav Rabbi Yaakov of Husiatyn [1877-1957], the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Yitzchak of Bohush and the successor of his in-law the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Husiatyn. Was one of the leading supporters of immigrating to Zion al Taharas Hakodesh and established a society to do so.

Letter for the supporters of the Torah and its protectors by establishing an organization for the Genizah of Kitvei Kodesh in Vienna, by the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura the author of the Abir Yaakov. 1937.
The Holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura author of Abir Yaakov [1884-1961] the son of Rabbi Yisroel of Sadigura, a renowned Tzaddik. One of the prominent leaders of the worldwide Agudas Yisroel and one of the leaders of organized Charedi Jews. One of the greatest members of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah and for a short while, served as its president. One of the founders of Charedi education in Israel who did much work to increase Torah and purity in Israel. Passed away in 1961 without Zera shel Kodesh.

Important Psak Halacha for archiving Kitvei Kodesh by the Holy Gaon Rabbi Chaim Yitzchak Yerusham Av Beis Din of Altstadt, one of the leading Poskim and Tzaddikim of Galicia before the Holocaust.
The letter was written in the year of Yeshuah and Rachamim in Vienna.
The holy Rav notes the customs of burying Kitvei Kodesh and with horror recalls the situation in Vienna, stating that now, Baruch Hashem, a committee was established for this purpose.
The Rav discusses all aspects of the issue, ruling that it is an important and complete Chiyuv.
The holy Gaon Rabbi Chaim Yitzchak Yerucham Av Beis Din of Altstadt [1875-1943] a disciple of the holy Rav Rabbi Yehuda of Melitz, the Mahari of Belz, the Divrei Yechezkel of Shinova and the Maharash of Bobov. He also merited seeing the Divrei Chaim of Sanz.

*’May He protect them with a thousand shields’! Letter of blessing signed by the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heshil of Kopitshnitz to those assisting in the protection of Kitvei Kodesh and their Gnizah. Vienna, 1937.
"it is a great Mitzvah to support this organization … and I bless them that by merit of the great Mitzvah may He protect them with a thousand shields…".
the holy Rav added: He who prays for entire Yisroel for complete salvation and his handwritten signature.

* Letter signed by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Babad Rosh Av Beis Din of Vienna, for the establishment of an organization that will archive the worn Kitvei Kodesh and books in Vienna. 1937.
In his letter, he writes enthusiastically about the activity of the important rabbis, Rabbi Getzil Wosner, who was a relative of the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Wosner, and Rabbi Leib Tirkel.
The rabbis established the Likutei Shemos organization for the Genizah of Kitvei Kodesh.
‘He who respects the Torah, his body is respected by the public’, the Rav ended the letter and added his signature.
Rabbi Yosef Babad [1875-1943] Rosh Av beis Din of Vienna. The son of Rabbi Yaakov and grandson of the Maharosh Babad. A disciple of the Mahari Shmelkis. Served as Dayan in Lvov and then as Rosh Av Beis Din of Kalosch and Vienna. With the Nazis’ rise to power, he escaped to Holland, eventually perishing in the Holocaust.

In his letter, he supports the enterprise and praises all those involved in protecting worn Kitvei Kodesh, noting the sin of disgracing Kitvei Kodesh.
He also notes that our duty is to support them and help them to carry out this important mission and "by Hitorerus Dekdusha for the dignity of the Torah may we merit seeing Haramas Keren HaTorah".
