Pedigreed copy! Tziyun Ledrash, Kretshin, 1858, the copy of the holy Tzaddik of Husiatyn and of the famed Gaon Rabbi Menachem Nosson Auerbach of Jerusalem.

At the beginning of the book, the stamp of the holy Rav of Husiatyn’s library: "Otzar HaSeforim shel Yisroel Friedman MeHusiatyn". On the flyleaf, the signature of Rabbi Menachem Nosson Auerbach. The signature is torn.
The book contains many late markings of pronunciation.
On leaf 211, an early gloss of 4 words, possibly handwritten by the Rav of Husiatyn.
On the inside binding, several Ma’amarei Chazal introduced in the book were written in a different script.
The holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Husiatyn [1858-1948] was frequently called by the Holy Rabbi Aharon of Belz ‘Tzaddik Yessod Olam’. The son of the holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai Sheraga of Husiatyn and the last grandson of the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Ruzhin. Was revered and appreciated by all the Tzaddikim of his generation. During the Holocaust, headed those who came to the gravesite of Or HaChaim HaKaddosh to pray for the salvation of Yisroel. A great Gaon, who made efforts to hide the fact. Nevertheless, he was famed for his Torah greatness.
The great Gaon Rabbi Menachem Nosson Auerbach [1858-1930] the grandson of the Imrei Binah. One of the leading rabbis of Jerusalem. Was accepted by all circles of religious Jerusalem including those of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and Agudas Yisroel and those of the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook and the Chief Rabbinate, being one of its founders.
The title page is missing. Moth perforations. Non-original binding, almost dismantled. Stains. Wear. fair-good condition.
