Historical and important! Letter by the leaders of the Sadigura Chassidus, with corrections handwritten by the holy Admor the Knesses Mordechai, to the editorial staff of the She’arim newspaper, with a call to publish the history of the ancient Tiferes Yisroel synagogue of the Old City of Jerusalem. Sivan, 1948.
On the letter, important corrections and glosses handwritten by the Knesses Mordechai of Sadigura.
Important historical letter signed by the three Gabaim and secretaries of the holy Admor the Knesses Mordechai of Sadigura, Rabbi Yaakov Shimon Halevi Milgrom, the Chassid Rav Rabbi Aharon Altman and the Chassid Rav Rabbi Yosef Eisental.
In the letter, they ask that the She’arim newspaper, the journal of Pai, publish a lengthy and important article with authentic historical information on the Tiferes Yisroel synagogue. The article emphasizes that this great synagogue was established by the Tzaddik the famed Admor Rabbi Yisroel of Ruzhin and his son and successor, the Gaon Admor Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura’.
For the historical truth, they ask the editorial staff to publish the article in the newspaper on the following week.
This historical letter indicates the importance the holy Sadigura court attributed to the Nissan Bek Schul of the Old City and this, several days after it was burned and desecrated.
It seems that the holy Knesses Mordechai alongside the other dignitaries who signed this letter were not yet aware of the great damage caused to the synagogue and they only ask that when Jerusalem is liberated from the Jordanian occupation, this important and historical synagogue will be returned to their possession.
