Issue of the religious journal HaPardes which was published in Kislev 1940. The personal copy of Maran the Chazon Ish.
The important rabbinic journal HaPardes was published in Chicago by the editor and publisher Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Halevi Pardes and was considered one of the most important religious journals that were published in the USA in those years.
This is the issue of Kislev 1940, the onset of World War II, approx. a year before the USA joined the war.
On the issue, an original English sticker ‘Rabbi Abraham Yeshayahu Korelitz Bnei Berak Tel Aviv Palestine’ referring to the settlement of Bnei Berak in the district of Tel Aviv during the British mandate.
The issue is well-used, small tears and slight wear, yet in good general condition. Jacket binding.
