The personal copy of the great Gaon Rabbi Chaim Berlin, the son of the Natziv of Volozhin and the great-grandson of Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin the leading disciple of the Gaon of Vilna.
On the title page, his two stamps: ‘Chaim Berlin – Av Beis Din of Kobryn‘.
The renowned Gaon Rabbi Chaim Berlin (1832-1912) the eldest son of the Natziv of Volozhin and the great-grandson of Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin. The Rav of Volozhin, Moscow and Jerusalem and as the Rosh Yeshiva of the Volozhin Yeshiva for a while and became one of the greatest Rabbis of his generation. He also served in Kobryn and Yelisavetgrad in Ukraine for a decade.
[2], 72 leaves. Most of the leaves are clean and as good as new. Some are professionally restored. Minor moth perforations, mostly restored. New, impressive semi-leather binding. Very good condition.
