Letter handwritten by the great Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shlomo Kahaneman, sent to the activist Rabbi Chaim Yisroel Eiz of Zurich, with a request for a patient who needs to get to Switzerland to heal. Kovno, 1924.
The letter was handwritten by the Gaon of Ponevezh, when he was staying in Kovno. He asks that everything be done for the Rebbetzin, the daughter of the secretary of the Telz Yeshiva Rabbi Abba Schwartz, who was also his relative, and who was required to stay at the famed sanitorium of Davos, Switzerland.
The Rav of Ponevezh ends his letter with a blessing of the Cohen and his handwritten signature.
