Extremely rare letter handwritten by the holy Rav Rabbi Yaakov Chaim of Karlin – Detroit, requesting to welcome the emissary of the Beis Yaakov VeYisroel Yeshiva, Rabbi Zvi Dov. Without the year.
The Rabbi calls the yeshiva ‘Ben Poras Yaakov VeYisroel’ and blesses all its supporters, ‘May the merit of supporting the Torah protect all those assisting and donating to be blessed with an abundance of blessing and success and all the best’.
The holy Rav Rabbi Yaakov Chaim of Karlin, also known as Der Detroiter [1881-1946] the third son of the holy Rav the Yanuka of Stolin and the son-in-law of the holy Rav Rabbi Yehoshua Heshil of Leviev Chernobyl in Chodnov. Had no children. Was one of the first Admorim who immigrated to the USA, already in 1924, breathing life and enthusiasm of Avodas Hashem in the Karlin way of life. Due to him, hundreds of Jews observed Sabbath, Kashrus and Mitzvos and many of them became G-d-fearing Jews. Was renowned as a wonder-worker whom thousands flocked to his holy court.
[1] official stationery of the holy Rav of Detroit in Brooklyn. Handwritten entirely by him. Considerable Wear. The leaf is mounted on another leaf, including the completion of four letters of the holy Rav’s signature. Wide stains. Poor condition.
