Well-known is the awe-inspiring story of when the pious daughter of Rabbi Elazar Mendel came to Galicia, she met with the daughter of the Holy Rav of Sanz and told her that she recalls once hearing her holy father saying to himself: מיר זענען דאך אין הומעל, האבן מיר גיזעהן אז דעם שענסטן סדר אפגירעכט רבי אלעזר מענדל מירושלים [We in Heaven have seen and realized that the ‘nicest’ Seder was conducted by Rabbi Elazar Mendel of Jerusalem]. Before us is the Passover Haggadah with the traces of his Holy Avodah.
