Collection of [9] documents from the archive of Rabbi Moshe Deutsch. Including an original certificate of exemption from obligatory work during the War of Independence as an "excelling yeshiva student". 


* Telegram from Bratislava to the Rav’s family in Jerusalem. "Post office of Palestine", Jerusalem, 1924. 

[1] printed leaf, filled-in with pencil, German, with the postmark of the post office of Jerusalem. 

Fold marks, slight wear to the edges of the leaf, good condition. 

* Telegram, the Deutsch Family, "The management of the Postal, Telegraph and Telephone Services of Palestine", Jerusalem. 

[1] printed leaf, filing holes, wear along the fold line. Good condition. 

* [2] copies, invitation to the wedding of Moshe Chaim Deutsch and Mrs. Pesel the daughter of Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Dushinsky [Rabbi Yosef Zvi Dushinsky’s brother]. The wedding took place at the Vershavsky Tel Aviv Hotel in Jerusalem, 1942. 

* Letter by Dr. Levi Semetz, a gynecologist, consulting on the best treatment of one of his patients of the Deutsch family. Jerusalem, 1943. 

* An original certificate of exemption from obligatory work given to Rabbi Chaim Moshe Deutsch, of the Sheves Sofer Yeshiva, as an "excelling yeshiva student". Jerusalem, 1948. 

[1] leaf, with stamps of the personnel coordinator of the provisional government of Israel. 

Fold mark, slight wear to the edges of the leaf, good condition. 

* Letter of blessings for the New Year sent to Rabbi Chaim Moshe [Deutsch]. Zurich. 

[1] leaf, handwriting and handwritten signature. Very good condition. 

* Letter by the Abramson Family of New York to the Deutsch Family of Jerusalem. Elul, 1965. 

[1] leaf aerogram, two writers, Yiddish and German. Greetings for the New Year and family information. 

Fold marks, the tab of the aerogram is detached and several words of the first line are cut. 

Rabbi Chaim Moshe Deutsch of Topoľčany was born in 1910. His father, Rabbi Pinchas Michael Deutsch was the son of the Dayan Rabbi Menachem Mendel Deutsch and the brother-in-law of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld. Rabbi Chaim Moshe immigrated to Jerusalem and was an excelling student of the Sheves Sofer Yeshiva. Married Mrs. Pesel, the niece of Rabbi Yosef Zvi Dushinsky.
