Letter by the Gaon Kabbalist Rabbi Yeshaya Ascher Zelig Margaliot to the Gaon Rabbi Yisroel Meir Zacharish of the Ponovezh yeshiva. 1953.
The letter discusses several matters and at its end, Rabbi Ascher Zelig informs that he received a letter by the Gaon the Chazon Ish, yet he does not note its content.
The Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Yeshaya Ascher Zelig Margaliot (1894-1969), one of the leaders of the zealots of Jerusalem. Studied at the Toras Emes – Lubavitch yeshiva in Hebron and became a close disciple of the Tzaddikim of Jerusalem: the Holy Gaon Rabbi Avraham Simcha Horowitz of Baranov, the kabbalist the Holy Gaon Rabbi Chaim Shaul Hacohen Dweik and the Saba Kaddisha Rabbi Shlomo Eliezer Alfandari . Rabbi Yeshaya Ascher Zelig was one of the greatest fighters against reform Judaism and the Zionists.
