Broadside towards the elections for the City Committee of the Ashkenazic community of Jerusalem. The first half of the 20th century, Jerusalem.
"Elections for…the City Committee of the Ashkenazic community …date and procedure – for a new committee for the next couple of years". 1921 or 1924, Zuckerman Press, Jerusalem.
The city committee of the Ashkenazic community – after the establishment of a City Committee of the Jews of Jerusalem in the early days of the British Mandate, to serve as an elected body representing the Jews of Jerusalem, the Chareidi community of Jerusalem established their own committee, the City Committee of the Ashkenazic Community. The new committee called the Chareidi Jews not to join the City Committee of the Jews of Jerusalem, which does not declare it recognizing the authority of the Torah, its managers include non-religious Jews and which funds institutions opposing the way of life of the Chareidi community.
Fold marks and slight wear along the fold lines, good-very good condition.
