Rare broadside announcing the laying of the foundation stone of the first Beis Midrash of the Slonim Chassidim in Jerusalem, with the participation of Maran the holy Rav the Beis Avraham who was then visiting the country. 1933.
The broadside invites the public to celebrate the event on the 13rd of Adar at the yard of the famed Chassid Rabbi Yosef Weinberg.
The visit of the holy Rav the Beis Avraham was an awe-inspiring visit for the many Chassidim of Tiberius and the few who started gathering in Jerusalem.
The main purpose of the Rav’s second visit, in 1933, was the laying of the cornerstone of the large Beis Midrash of the Slonim Chassidim in Jerusalem, donated by Rabbi Yosef Weinberg who was famed for his philanthropy.
Eventually, the Beis Midrash, which was named Beis Avraham in memory of the Beis Avraham, was the foundation stone of the entire Slonim court of Jerusalem.
