[1], 76, 73-84, 89-104, 101-228, 233-234, 30, 12, 9-16 leaves. Mispagination. Includes a Passover Hagaddah with HaGra’s elucidation and the Maggid Tzeddek elucidation by Rabbi Pinchas of Plock. This Haggadah was published also in itself with a title page, in Jerusalem in 1903. Owner’s signature "Shlomo Jacobson" and the signature and stamps of Rabbi Alter Shuv.
Rabbi Alter Yosef Zundel ben Rabbi Yaakov Shuv, "Reb Alter Shuv" (1882-1960) one of the sages of the Etz Chaim Yeshiva who supervised the assets of the Hekdesh, one of the leaders of the Chevra Kaddisha and an important Talmid Chacham in Jerusalem. Was named after his great uncle Rabbi Yosef Zundel of Salant and after becoming sick as a child, the name "Alter" was added to his name. When he was 9, he immigrated to Eretz Yisroel. Was the son-in-law of Rabbi Nissan Yehuda Harlap and the in-law of Rabbi Avraham David Rosenthal, Av Beis Din of the Prushim community of Jerusalem and Rav of the Sha’arei Chessed neighborhood.
Simple binding with gilt lettering, small tears and some taping, minor stains, good condition.
