Receipt for Ma’os Pidyon Nefesh that was Sent from Safed and Tiberius to the Holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai of Rachmastrivka in Jerusalem.

Receipt for money that was sent from Safed and Tiberius to the famed Tzaddik Rabbi Mordechai of Rachmastrivka in Jerusalem. 1910.

The Gabai and Parnas Rabbi Elimelech Perlman, one of the leaders of the Chassidic community of Jerusalem, asks the important Rav Rabbi Eliyahu Eisenstein of Jerusalem to give some of the funds received by Kollel Vohlin to the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Mordechai Twersky of Rachmastrivka on behalf of Safed and Tiberius. The letter was sent in Adar B 1910.

The holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai of Rachmastrivka [1840-1920] the son of Rabbi Yochonon and son-in-law of the holy Rav Rabbi Chanina Lipa Shapiro, one of the owners of the famed printery in Zhitomir. The first of the Chernobyl dynasty who immigrated to Jerusalem in 1906.
