Letter of blessings for the birth of a son handwritten by the holy Rav Rabbi Yehuda Horowitz of Dzikov, the grandson of the Ahavas Yisroel and the son-in-law of the holy Rav the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz. Jerusalem, 1960.
The letter was sent to ‘My dear relative Shalita and his important wife’. The holy Rav Rabbi Yehudaleh writes ‘I joyfully received the good news of your son’s birth and I want to bless you with mazel Tov and may you merit raising him to Torah, Chupah and Ma’asim Tovim…you relative who sends his regards‘ and his handwritten signature – Yehuda Horowitz.
The holy Rav Rabbi Yehuda Horowitz of Dzikov [1901-1989] the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Alter of Dzikov and the frequent visitor of the holy Rav the Ahavas Yisroel of Vizhnitz who educated him as a child. The son-in-law of his son the holy Rav the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz. Was known as a sublime and holy Tzaddik and as a wonder-worker, with thousands seeking his blessing. Was a great Gaon who authored many compositions, most of which were not printed. Served as Dayan and Moreh Tzeddek in Kloizenburg. In his old age he lived in London, where he took on himself a Ta’anis Dibur and where he passed away and was buried. Promised that anyone visiting his grave will merit salvation and mercy of if he commits to a Kabbala Tova.
