"הגוים אפס ותוהו נגדך חשובים" – Handwritten Piyyut, Ashkenaz [the 18th century?].
Early Ashkenazic Piyyut, handwritten, which by tradition was authored during the Crusades and contains a call for G-d’s revenge against the evil gentiles.
[1] leaf, vowelized script, with a Piyyut for Yotzer of Shacharis of Yom Kippur, appearing in its entirety only in Machzorim of the Prague [1522] and [1533] edition and the Krakow 1585 edition. This version of the Piyyut includes stanzas that were omitted by the Christian censor including "הגוים מכנים קדושתיך לעול הזמה, נשואיך משקצים יחום אשת הזמה".
Fold marks. Short tears. Stain. Wear to the edge of the leaf. fair-good condition.
