Letter on charity matters for a poor bride, handwritten by Maran the Rishon LeZion Rabbi Ovadya Yosef. Jerusalem, 1986.
In a relatively rare matter, Maran the Rishon LeZion added on the stationery after his Hebrew title ‘Rishon LeZion Chief Rabbi of Israel’ the word ‘previously’. Possibly, at the time, he retired from his position as Dayan of the supreme Rabbinic Beis Din after a petition by a Knesset member of a non-religious party.
The letter was sent to the Ezras Torah organization and the Rav ends it with the words ‘ It is a great Mitzvah to help them build a home in Yisroel and from G-d you shall see blessing’.
[1] official stationery, handwritten by Maran the Rishon LeZion Rabbi Ovadya Yosef and with his handwritten signature. Small filing perforations. Very good condition,
