Sefer Magen David by the Radbaz. Amsterdam, 1713. The copy of the holy Rav, the wonder-worker, Rabbi Sholom of Kaminka and of his son’s son the holy Rav Rabbi Elazar of Auschpitzin, the son-in-law of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. 

On the flyleaf, a handwritten notation ‘This book Magen David belongs to the great Gaon Rav, the pure and holy Chassid Rabbi Sholom Halevi …

Beneth it, a stamp ‘Elazar Halevi Rosenfeld here in Auschpitzin the son of the Tzaddik of Kaminka the son-in-law of the Tzaddik of Sanz". 

This stamp appears several times in this copy. Ownership notations, Kvitel from the period and more. There are also additional stamps. 

Sefer Magen David, Amsterdam, 1713. Kabbalistic compositon on the Torah by Rabbeinu David ben Zimra, one of the greatest Acharonim, the Radbaz. Printed at the printery of Nethanel Poah, except for the first leaves, which were printed by the printer Asher Anshil ben Eliezer Chazan known as Anshil Shochet. With the proofreader’s foreword and an introduction by the Gaon.

The holy Rav Rabbi Sholom Halevi of Kaminka [1800-1852] one of the leading disciples of the holy Rav Rabbi Naftali of Ropshitz and the holy Rav the Sar Sholom of Belz. A close friend of the holy Rav of Sanz. Although he never had an official community and Chassidic court, thousands followed him. 

The holy Rav Rabbi Elazar Halevi Rosenfeld of Auschpitzin [1862-1943] the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Yehoshua of Kaminka and the son-in-law of Maran the holy Gaon the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. Was also known as Rabbi Elazar Auschpinitzer. For approx. thirty years served as the Rav and Av Beis Din of Oshpitzin and in 1936 immigrated to the Holy Land. He opened a Beis Midrash in the center of the Me’ah She’arim neighborhood and many of the residents of the town followed him. Was well-known as a Tzaddik.

[4], 52 leaves. Wear to the edges of the leaf. Some tiny moth perforations. Stains. A small tear to the edge of leaf 24. New, elegant leather binding. Good-very good condition.
