Sefer Shomer Shabbat was published in Amsterdam in 1707 and then again, by the order of the holy Maggid Rabbi Yisroel of Kozhnitz with his approbation. Third edition, Lemberg, 1860.
The Maggid of Kozhnitz greatly praises this important book in his approbation, a copy of which was kept by him. He asked that it be reprinted ‘to merit the many’.
This is the third edition that was printed in Lemberg in 1860.
Bound with: Sefer Ma’asiyot Lerabbeinu Nissim ben Rabbi Yaakov, which was also printed in Lemberg in 1860.
Stains and water marks. Minor blemishes due to wear. A tear in the center of the leaf of the table of Halachot at the end of Sefer Shomer Shabbat.
No pagination. Many ownership notations of "the Avrech Shaul Landau" and additional notations from the period. Renewed binding.
Good condition.
