With an ownership notation and signatures of Rabbi Yechezkel Stohlman Hacohen of Kalischin – his name appears in the list of Approbations by Gedolei Hador in the book by Rabbi Elazar David Sofer Orenstein, in Mefa’ane’ach Ne’elamim, Sifrut Yemei Kedem, Jerusalem 1937. And with the signature and stamps of Yosef Segal Marmelstein of Brookly, New York.
The Holy Rabbi Elimelech of Grodzinsk (1824-1892) one of the greatest Tzaddikim of Poland in his generation. From a family of Torah giants. The son of the Saraf of Moglintza the Holy Rabbi Chaim Yechiel Shapiro. In his youth, he studied Torah with the Holy Rabbi Yissachar ber of Radoshitz, the Holy Rabbi Natan David of Shidlovtza and the Holy Rabbi of Ruzhin to whom he use travel even after he became an Admor. Was renowned as a lofty Tzaddik and wonder-worker and acted extensively for the safety of the Jews in the Diaspora.
Blemished semi-leather binding. No back board, Stains. Wear to the corners of the first leaves. Fair-good condition.
