Mishnat DeRabbi Akiva, by the Gaon Rabbi Agive Eiger [the first], published by his sons Rabbi Yehuda Leib Eiger Av Beis Din of Rotterdam and Rabbi Wolf Eiger Av Beis Din of Silesia. Itzak Tzern Dorf Press, Furth, [1781]. First edition. 

[3], 6, 9-102 leaves. One leaf is missing, the last page of the table of errors at the end of the book. With a dedication label from the estate of Rabbi Alter Yosef Zundel Shoches and Bodek (the in-law of Rabbi Avraham David Rosental Av Beis Din of the Prushim of Jerusalem and the Rav of the Sha’arei Chessed neighborhood) and with his stamps. On the title page and the leaf of approbations, ancient owner’s signatures, one of them apparently, by the author’s son.

Rabbi Alter Yosef Zundel (1882-1960) the son of Rabbi Yaakov [Nissan] Resnik. One of the sages of the Etz Chaim Yeshiva who supervised the assets of the Hekdesh, one of the leaders of the Chevra Kaddisha and an important Talmid Chacham in Jerusalem. Was the son-in-law of Rabbi Nissan Yehuda Harlap and the in-law of Rabbi Avraham David Rosental, Av Beis Din of the Prushim community of Jerusalem and Rav of the Sha’arei Chessed neighborhood. 

Blemished leather binding. Detached front board. Blemish to the title page. Smeared ink in the ancient signatures. Moth holes. Stains. fair-good condition.
