65, 114 leaves. Signatures and stamps of Rabbi Meir David ben Ma’aril Ginzburg and the signature of Rabbi Menachem Bachar Yosef, with dozens of glosses in Sephardic script on the margins of the leaves, which were apparently written by Rabbi Menachem Bachar Yosef.
Rabbi Meir ben Rabbi Aryeh Yehuda Leib Giznburg (1884-1917) a Kozhnitz Chassid, Av Beis Din of Basrezin and Moreh Tzeddek in Moglanitza. By the order of the Maggid of Trisk, immigrated to Eretz Yisroel and settled in Jerusalem, where he was one of the leaders of Kollelot Polin and the Rosh Yeshiva of Chayei Olam. Was a renowned Shochet, Mohel and expert Ba’al Toke’ah.
Rabbi Menachem Bachar Yosef – one of the leading sages of Midrash Chassidim Beit El and a member of the group of Kabbalists who signed an engagement agreement in 1752. Information about his passing, when he was a Shadar of the Jerusalem community, appeared on the engagement agreement from 1758, in the script of the Chida, who wrote: "יען שבעוונותינו הרבים הח"ר מנחם בכר יוסף היתה מנוחתו כבוד בחו"ל זלה"ה…".
Renewed leather binding. Blemishes and taping to the title page. Stains. Moth holes. Taping. An open tear to the edge of several leaves. Fair-good condition.
