[6], 332, 341-382 leaves. Incomplete copy, without leaves 333-340. Some of the missing leaves were completed with a photocopy. Notations in Sephardic script at the end of the commentator’s foreword.
Rabbi Raphael Zilberman (1841-1917) Rav and Dayan of the Ashkenazic community of Safed. Was born in Uman and immigrated to Eretz Yisroel in 1850. A disciple of his father Rabbi Mordechai, who was the Rav of Uman and was appointed the Rav of Safed.
Rabbi Avraham Leib ben Rabbi Yitzchak Dov Zilberman (1889-1947) Av Beis Din of Safed. Was orphaned as a child and raised by his grandfather, Rabbi Raphael. Since 1909 served as Dayan of Safed and then succeeded his grandfather as the Chief Rabbi of Safed for thirty years.
New, elegant semi-leather binding. Incomplete copy – [8] leaves are missing. Stains. Moth holes. Taping to the edges of some of the first and last leaves. Good overall condition.
